2012 FELLOWSHIP ELECTION NOTE

 
The existing fellowship leaders has been serving us for almost two years now, And now it’s a time to let them rest after the heavy duties to serve Christ. It’s time that we come together and elect new leaders to replace the existing ones, not only to elect the new leaders but it’s also the time we come and volunteer to lead the fellowship.

It’s human nature to point out the mistakes of other people and to give the very useful advice on how to handle and tackle problems, unfortunately we do not like to volunteer into serving the society. Some of us think that we are not able to hold the posts, the truth is that if you believe in God then nothing is impossible  

 

^13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13

 Also most of people do not know that through leading the communities and groups, they will boost their confidence and will increase their faith in Jesus Christ ^13” “For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus”. 

1 Timothy 3:13

 

 

 We are afraid of the duties because we do not want the commitment we forget that God himself knew us and appointed us to be the leaders of the nations ever since we were in our mothers’ wombs Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;

 
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

these habits are the reason that our country is in a lot of economical problems because the right people to lead the nation are not leading the nation they just comment and complaining in the streets and as the result the wrong people are leading this nation

We are all called to attend the election on Sunday 30^thSeptember. If you think you can lead the fellowship at any post do not hesitate to volunteer and take a chance to lead

CHRISTIAN; A Parrot?

1 Kings 18:21

"How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him."

 

Catholic Youths, lets ask ourselves today, how much do we learn from the Catholic Church? How much did we grasp from our first communion classes and during confirmation classes those days? How much does the church tell us everyday in the Holy Mass Celebrations? What are our daily prayers tell us daily when we say them? Are we saying them like a parrot? And when we are two and we pray, are we not saying prayers like two parrots together?

 

But Why?

Where do we get the courage of believing more in witchdoctors than we believe in GOD? Where had we learned that we must practice superstition so as to get what we want in life? 

Where? Where? I am talking and asking to you a Catholic. Where do you collect all those incompetent beliefs? Are they not Catholics who go to the first Mass in the morning on Sunday and afterwards go to the shaman? Is there no a Catholic's child among those we used to see daily with amulets on their arms? Do all of us not have incisions on our bodies obtained from those shamans believing that they keep us safe? Is there really no a catholic who uses talisman in politics that they play it safely and continuously? Are they not leaders of the lay committees in our parishes struggle for their positions during elections? Are we not putting enchantments at our door steps at home? What about at our business places? Our work places? We believe them to protect our places and keep them safe to us and that no one would harm us. That we may rule forever, we may have rule over others everyday.

Catholics, doesn't the church teach us about believing in One and the Only Almighty, Omnipotent and most powerful GOD? God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob?I know you would say those things does not work nowadays? May be, but that's your opinion not the fact.

That's only what most of us have decided to conclude and we live in there comfortably;

What to do?

Let's change and believe in GOD alone. He is able to do anything, actually everything. Keep on trusting him alone and see how would you live with whole freedom and true peace. This mighty be hard at the starting point but averagely everything is hard at the start. Why should you worry. Do you really have to worry about God to the extent that you cannot afford trying to give him all your trust?

 

Please, go and take off those enchantments at our homes, offices, shops, amulets from our hands and waists, and just from our bodies. Lets immediately stop offering sacrifices to the ancestors. They are dead bodies and cannot eat. We offer that to evil spirits with evil deeds. Lets concentrate on what's God promising for us and wants from us.

Remember, you are a Christian and called a christian name because you believe in CHRIST.

If you don't feel the same, you better review your belief but what i want us to recall is we should choose to live as CHRISTIANS only.

Please, lets stop this combination CHRISTIAN + SUPERSTITION. We will end up in Vain. STOP TODAY.

Were oyu eagerly?……ooohh sorry,.. I mean were you eagerly waiting to see and know something good about GMP? (I too was in hurry to tell you about this that I messed up with alphabets). As it gets unfolded to you, one excellent character of GMP you should not forget when you will be leaving this page is its ability to sit with youth and discuss openly what kills them softly.

Goals:

Starting with its goals and means to achieve them, here we will get to know how it works. Remember GMP meetings are now conducted at every weekend, Sunday evening 17:00 HRS - +3 GMT.

• To proclam Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of our lives, to the very environment of the university students. This is the main objective of GMP.

• GMP keeps up hands held together right away to the living of the Gospel as the youth in this world. The world is full of challenges of various types which endanger our thinking, decisions, planning, actions and hence our future, our families, our country and the church. 

•  GMP talks about critical issues quite openly and through that the matter become less scaring. It provides a confident platform for the youth to share their real time life experiences and testimonies. Discussions aim at clearing doubts and provide answers directly.

•  GMP help out youth who want to get out of any ‘hard to leave/stop habit’ by telling open testimonies on how others managed to skip the same problem openly.

• Enhancing live chastity in the world with the help of the Holy Spirit, as well as following the Gods commandments is among the GMP tasks.

• Practicing great love among us, and love divine right before doing big things.

• GMP emphasizes sharing, caring, consulting and maintaining love, solidarity with the Christian bond among us. This includes giving attentive audience, mutual respect and support to one another in social affairs, economical advices and political views.

You could still be having a question why is it called ‘GOSPEL MISOSI PAMBA’ 

 

This is basically a combination of three words, GOSPEL- an English word which means The Good News of Jesus, MISOSI- a Swahili name meaning good Meals/Diet one can take and PAMBA- is a Swahili name meaning smart Wears/Outfitting (or cotton with direct translations)

These words signify that preaching the Gospel is the first and the very basic need for every GMP member. Taking balanced diet daily is an important aspect for the youth and that’s for proper functioning of the mind and body. Smart appearance would always impress those who are going to meet any youth anywhere. With GMP members, this is ought to be a regular routine for both girls and boys. However, giving food and clothes to those who are in need, would come out of those who have been experiencing the taste of having it. Hence that is the next duty of the group.

 

It should be noted that:

GMP is a group within the Catholic Church, (originated and founded particularly at St. Joseph University in Tanzania, Catholic Community, under Catholic Charismatic Renewal group) and not an organization. However, GMP involves group of friends of different beliefs as far as they all need to see youth live in proper way in the society with the common goal of getting to see the beautiful Kingdom of God. Hence it accommodate all the people with the good will regardless of the religion

Good thing and what’s promising is, we recognize we youths are the pillars of our family, our country and our church. We also know and believe that it is only in this age where according to nature, humans tend to have sufficient energy physically and mentally to perform anything ONLY if they decide to do so. We strategically find it necessary to utilize the fact to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Then, founder and activists; we all believe that our God loves us and calls us to leave aside our sins and the World. With the help of the Holy Spirit of God, through our Lord Jesus Christ we can make a brighter WORLD. It will begin with US.

Yes it will begin with us. It will begin with GMP

For real, this works. There are no entrance charges, no membership charges. What else are you afraid of? The ground is very fair to everyone to share and ask any question. Approach is quite conversational, around the tables and the audience is very attentive to everyone. No one is preaching in front of others, rather the opening and the closing prayers.

What else would scare you? You simply have to attend the meeting at weekend on Sunday, at 17:00 HRS, +3 GMT, at Eden Park, Luguruni near La-paz.
