TRIUMPH OF THE CROSS

People of Israel sinned against God after they passed a hard way in the wilderness where there was no food, and no water.  

“Why did you bring us out of Egypt to die in this wilderness? For there is neither bread nor water here; we are sick of this unsatisfying food”, they complained. God sent fiery serpents among them. Their bite brought death to many in Israel. 

The people came and said to Moses, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede for us with the Lord to save us from these serpents.” Moses accepted their apology and request.  “Make a fiery serpent and put it on a standard. If anyone is bitten and looks at it, he shall live”, instructed the Lord to Moses.

In the same way God, sent his beloved Son who was born as a man to save the world from sin through his cross and resurrection. “And the Son of Man must be lifted up as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him”.

On the cross Jesus is encouraging us that, “I suffered as you do take your cross and follow me”. I will give you power to carry it. The same sacrifice is celebrated during the mass, an altar being a mount Calvary where Jesus is lifted up he is ready to take away all the sins of the world.



 
 Let us give him all our problems and difficulties. Be it your family affairs, relationship conflicts, business difficulties, money problems, studies, exams, supplementary, CATs, tuition fees, LOANS problems and delays. 

He will give us power and strength to follow him with our crosses. 

Tell him friendly what really you think needs his attention, to help you out, he will do. Surely he will do. Do it, really do it today he will help you out.

Do that at your room, or come to the holy mass and tell your friend Jesus. He promised that he will help. Have faith and give him your problem
