• Francis was chosen in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi.

• He is the first Jesuit pope.

• First pope from the Americas, and the Southern Hemisphere.

• His first homily was focused on the Solemnity of Saint Joseph

• He affirms the Church's teaching: that homosexual practice is intrinsically immoral

• He is against Child prostitution and abuses

•  He is always in need to see the low people get their right against the have group in a society.

• He chose to follow the life style of St. Francis. To serve the poor and live a life with them.
